HEALTH NEWS

  • Memorial Health's Dr. Ted Clark said rising flu cases after the holidays are prompting hospital systems to enforce visitor restrictions as schools and workplaces resume. He advised hand washing and staying home if ill to protect children, older adults, and others at risk.  WAND
  • Local hospitals updated visitor guidelines amid a rise in flu and COVID cases per recommendations from IDPH and CDC. The new rules (visitors must be 18 or older and limited to two per patient) aim to protect vulnerable patients as masks are encouraged for those with symptoms.  WAND
