- ➤ On Feb. 12, the Champaign County Community Coalition held its monthly meeting at the Holiday Inn Conference Center where police, Youth Employment Services and county officials shared safety updates, job training details and community resources, and announced Break the Cycle, a Feb. 25 event for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. - ➤ Council members and staff recently toured the new C-U at Home shelter at 1207 S. Mattis, which will open later this month to add 26 shelter beds for neighbors in need. The city invested $408,000 (CDBG funds) for essential safety upgrades. City of Champaign

- ➤ The Student Election Board released unofficial student government results Thursday at Foellinger Auditorium where juniors Jaden Campbell and Ethan Lopez won ISC president and vice president and Gabi Stewart was elected student trustee.
