- ➤ The Urbana Police Department warned residents about a telephone scam in which a caller using a spoofed number — 217-384-2320 — falsely claimed that bank accounts were compromised and threatened arrest, and the department advised people to hang up and redial directly to verify the call. WCIA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday in Savoy, a first-of-its-kind Hide360 pre-apprenticeship program graduated five participants—each who trained 16 hours a week since January to learn metalworking skills. Traeton Woods said he learned practical skills and looked forward to an April union interview—joining others aiming to fill a share of the 650,000 job openings in the trades. WCIA
