ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A semi-truck crossed the median—and struck a passenger vehicle head-on on I-74 westbound at milepost 167 around 11:53 p.m. Monday night in Piatt County—killing one person and prompting state police to divert traffic onto Illinois Route 47 at exit 172 and U.S. Route 150.  WCIA

CRIME NEWS

  • On March 13, as Evelyn Huang and her three daughters were coming home from dance class in Urbana, their car was hit at the intersection of Philo Road and Colorado Avenue, badly injuring them and killing 2-month-old Cece, and 40-year-old Kartila Brooks (whose blood test showed high THC) was arrested on four felony charges for driving under the influence, facing up to 50 years in prison if convicted.  WCIA
