- ➤ Over 500 residents from Champaign county gathered Saturday morning for the 20th anniversary of Boneyard Creek Community Day to clear litter and invasive species along the creek—meeting state stormwater outreach requirements. - ➤ Champaign Police are searching for Michael Dillon, 63, who was last heard from on Feb. 1 at his girlfriend's house on Kerr Ave in Urbana, and a family member filed a missing person report on March 25 (officials ask anyone with information to call 217-351-4545). WCIA
- ➤ A Champaign County sheriff’s deputy, Matthew Stuckey, was placed on administrative leave after an ISP investigation found funds misused at the 10-78 Foundation — he is scheduled to appear May 22 for theft of property over $10,000 but less than $100,000. WAND
- ➤ A Champaign County Sheriff’s deputy, Matthew Stuckey, has been charged with a felony for taking between $10,000 and $100,000 from the police support nonprofit 10-78 Foundation — also called Back the Blue Champaign County — and he is on leave as the investigation continues with his court appearance set for May 22.
