COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Residents received a training by the Neighborhood Services Department in partnership with the Illinois Housing Development Authority to learn how to survey housing conditions in select neighborhoods. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Champaign Unit 4 students earned a third-place finish at the Illinois State ACES Competition in Engineering and Science, marking the program's highest finish ever. Top performers received state honors in subjects such as biology, chemistry, and engineering graphics. WAND

- ➤ City staff attended three neighborhood meetings on April 20, 21 and 23. At United Garden Hills they updated drainage improvements and invited residents to a July ceremony, while in Ashland Park they reviewed a housing survey and land-use plans and in Carver Park they discussed the Northeast Side Neighborhood Plan. - ➤ Adams Outdoor will close Fifth Street from Park Street to University Avenue and the southbound lane of Wright Street from Park Street to University for billboard work at 508 and 608 E.
