- ➤ Marcia Green, leader of the Candlewood Estates Tenant Association in Mahomet, says tenants are contesting over 400 electrical violations issued by the state after new management raised lot fees and left repairs unaddressed since 2022. Tenants claim the park owner wrongly charges them for repairs — IDPH confirmed the violations — and the dispute continues in court. WCIA
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A small fire started at 4:05 p.m. on Friday in a multi-family apartment building on the 1500 block of Kiler Drive in Champaign when improperly disposed smoking materials sparked a blaze that displaced residents—firefighters quickly contained the fire—and no injuries were reported. WCIA
