Good morning, Champaign.

Champaign's Clark Park has been renovated with a new playground, ADA path, basketball courts, and an updated sandpit (named Katie's Playplace) with trucks, a bench, and a sand table.

Its grand re-opening is set for November with picnic tables, a BBQ grill, and a zipline swing for all ages.

Urbana is testing a road diet on North Lincoln Avenue to enhance safety for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians by restriping a stretch between King Park and I-74 to one lane each side with center turn lane.

Officials say the change can reduce rear-end crashes — easing street crossing.

On Saturday morning, over 4,000 runners completed the Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend as they ran from State Farm Center to Gies Memorial Stadium, enjoying free food and live music while supporting local charities.
