CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Champaign County Coroner Laurie Brauer confirmed that Matteo Antonio-Antonia from Champaign was identified as the man found deceased in Heritage Lake in Rantoul on May 15 with the FBI assisting in the investigation and no further details available. WICS
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Ameren Illinois said customers will see an approximate $45 increase on their electric bills over the next four months following an auction that drove summer capacity prices up twentyfold—these changes start on June 1 and continue until rates return to normal on October 1. WCIA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Starting May 27, a section of Garden Hills Drive will be closed between the Paula Drive/Garden Hills Drive intersection and where the street dead ends north of the train tracks, blocking driveway access while allowing street parking outside the work area. The project is set to last six to eight weeks—weather delays may extend the timeline—and drivers should use alternate routes. WCIA
