Vision to Succeed will host its 'Roots of Brotherhood' Men’s Retreat in Urbana on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ujima Retreat Center — the event will feature discussions on mental health, wellness, and fatherhood along with fishing, BBQ, flag football and a tree planting ceremony with registration and volunteer opportunities available.

The City of Champaign invites community members to wear orange on Friday, June 5 in honor of lives impacted by gun violence as it hosts local events during Wear Orange Weekend, June 5 — 7.

From Monday, June 1 to Monday, June 8, the northbound lane of Fourth Street between Daniel Street and Chalmers Street will be closed for pavement patching to repair 310 Chalmers Street.

A southbound lane stays open to preserve property access (weather permitting).

McKinley Avenue between Bloomington Rd and Paula Dr is closed today for a water main installation by A&R Services plus Illinois American Water; the road will reopen June 15 while local property access remains available.
