- ➤ The Blue Crew, a law enforcement motorcycle club, raised over $2,000 on Saturday for a Rantoul boy with gangliosidosis despite the rain canceling the benefit ride — the funds will assist Ezra Rosenbech and his family. WCIA

- ➤ Illinois State Senator Paul Faraci hosted two fraud seminars in Danville and Champaign on Friday with the Attorney General’s Office to instruct seniors on avoiding scams. Faraci, who said he and his wife once fell for a scam, urged seniors to let unknown calls go to voicemail and check links before clicking—warning that evolving scams now target anyone. WCIA

- ➤ Champaign County Fair will introduce a new motocross event this Thursday that will feature 100 to 150 racers on a track with jumps, ramps, and obstacles. Fair board director Terry Lemke said the track cost $25,000 and took two and a half days to build — the board expects the event to inspire local youth and plans to return next year — with additional motocross events in the works.
