- ➤ Neighborhood groups in Champaign hosted National Night Out celebrations using a one-time small grant of up to $500; United Garden Hills held a superhero-themed event with food and games in Garden Hills Park, Ridgewood South provided food, games, and fellowship in Johnston Park, and Timberline Valley South hosted an ice cream social—all designed to enhance police-community partnerships. - ➤ On August 4 the Ponds of Windsor HOA finished their commons area beautification project when volunteers installed landscape rock, mulch and plants throughout the subdivision. - ➤ ECI Underground Solutions will close one northbound lane on Neil Street between Eureka Street and Beardsley Avenue starting Monday, August 11 for sanitary sewer repairs and the lane will reopen on Monday, August 18—weather permitting. - ➤ City Council has released the agenda for the Regular Study Session scheduled for August 12, 2025. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 102 N. Neil Street—public attendance is encouraged. City of Champaign
