ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two Illinois State Police troopers were hospitalized after an early morning crash in Urbana at 12:43 a.m. Friday — the squad car had a green light while the other car ran a red light, and the driver received citations for the incident. WAND
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Champaign Police Department is joining forces with the Illinois Department of Transportation, state police and other law enforcement officials to increase traffic patrols from Aug. 15 to Sept. 2 to check for impaired driving, distracted driving and seatbelt violations—drivers who break these rules will get citations or warnings.
