- ➤ The Champaign and Urbana fire departments put out a small battery fire on Saturday in an office building at the 1800 block of South Oak Street — no injuries were reported. WAND
- ➤ On Friday at 3:51 p.m. in Hensley Township, an 18-year-old from Downers Grove tried to pass another car on Market Street and crashed into a white Dodge Caravan driven by a 64-year-old from Newman—leaving the teen seriously injured and the other driver with less severe injuries as both were taken to a hospital and the crash remains under investigation.
