ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire Tuesday, September 2 at 12:54 p.m. at a restaurant on the 300 block of N. Chestnut St. and contained the moderate smoke and flames from the rear of the building—officials said cooking caused the accidental fire with no injuries reported. WICS
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 22-year-old man identified as Preston Powe was arrested Monday evening after allegedly battering an Amtrak employee and a security officer at the Champaign-Urbana train station — police responded at 7:10 p.m. and stopped him from boarding a departing train. WICS

- ➤ Champaign-Urbana fans can buy school merchandise to show school pride at home football games, online shops, and local retailers.
