GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • ➤ Tuscola residents are advised to use water only for essential purposes—such as avoiding lawn watering, car washing and laundry—after a large leak was detected in the water line that supplies the city. Officials said the town continues to operate from stored water and expect repairs to be finished by Saturday morning.  WAND
  • ➤ On Sept. 25, CWLP journeymen and apprentice electricians competed at Lincoln Land Community College’s Line School facility in the annual Lineman’s Safety Rodeo organized by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives—Scott Boehm, Nolan Ernst, and Adam Stade led the team to win first in the hurt man rescue and second in the 40-foot transition climb while Keaton McCart earned Best Overall with top finishes in other events.  WICS
