- ➤ Champaign County is updating its 2014 Active Transportation Plan to improve biking and walking routes in Urbana, Champaign, and at the University—they are using survey data to fix traffic and safety issues. The Florida Avenue Path Project will use a $10 million federal grant to build safe sidewalks and bike lanes starting in 2027 and finishing by the end of 2028. The Daily Illini
