- ➤ Veterans at Maple Point Assisted Living received a Flightless Honor Flight tribute on Tuesday as Faith in Action volunteers brought a narrated virtual tour of Washington, D.C. war memorials honoring World War II, Korean War and Vietnam veterans—15 veterans participated in the event. WAND

- ➤ Balloons Over Vermilion is marking its 10th anniversary by moving the festival from Vermilion Regional Airport to (Kennekuk County Park). It will be held on (June 5 and 6) and is supported by the Vermilion County Conservation District. WICS
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Champaign City Partnership will host the Annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m.—several downtown streets will be closed to traffic from 4 p.m. until after the parade. Free parking is available at Hill Street Parking Deck, and drivers should follow detours—on State, Randolph and University avenues—during the closures. WICS
- ➤ The City of Champaign is offering up to two hours of free parking at the Hill Street Parking Deck from December 1 through December 31 to boost local business during the holiday season. Hourly visitors who park for longer than two hours will get a two-hour discount on their fee — no proof of purchase is needed. City of Champaign
