ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Champaign-Urbana may see a colder, wetter winter because a La Niña event is underway; professor Jeff Frame said a cooler Pacific may let cold air move in, leading to more rain or snow with about a 40 to 50 percent chance of wetter conditions. Local and international students are making plans for a season that might bring mixed weather — changing their clothes and travel plans as needed. The Daily Illini
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ SNC Construction will close one eastbound lane on Bradley Avenue (between Fifth Street and Sixth Street) for storm sewer repairs starting December 1 until December 5, with eastbound traffic merging into a single lane while westbound University Avenue traffic remains unaffected. - ➤ Lanz Heating—Cooling will close one westbound lane on Kirby Avenue between Scottsdale Drive and Kenwood Road to install water service at 2410 W. Kirby Avenue starting December 2 and reopening December 4, weather permitting. City of Champaign
