Good morning, Champaign.

Champaign-Urbana may see a colder, wetter winter because a La Niña event is underway; professor Jeff Frame said a cooler Pacific may let cold air move in, leading to more rain or snow with about a 40 to 50 percent chance of wetter conditions.

Local and international students are making plans for a season that might bring mixed weather — changing their clothes and travel plans as needed.

SNC Construction will close one eastbound lane on Bradley Avenue (between Fifth Street and Sixth Street) for storm sewer repairs starting December 1 until December 5, with eastbound traffic merging into a single lane while westbound University Avenue traffic remains unaffected.

Lanz Heating—Cooling will close one westbound lane on Kirby Avenue between Scottsdale Drive and Kenwood Road to install water service at 2410 W.

Kirby Avenue starting December 2 and reopening December 4, weather permitting.
